Need medical attention, but not sure what to do?
01
I need to see the doctor for a routine issue (refill a prescription, check my blood pressure, get a form filled out, non-urgent medical issue, etc)
Call your doctor's office to book an appointment.
02
I am sick or my child/spouse/family member is sick or needs to be seen on an urgent basis (not an emergency)
If it is NOT an emergency, here are some options:
1) Call your doctors office first to see if you can book an appointment
2) For after-hours clinics, check the OTN Directory to determine which doctor is scheduled and contact their office during the after-hours time-frame for assistance
3) Your pharmacist may be able to provide treatment for common minor ailments. Click here for a list of the minor ailments that pharmacists may be able to assist with.
4) Visit Health811 for medical advice (phone or live chat options)
5) Visit Urgent Care Ontario to book a Virtual Urgent Care Video Visit appointment - this is for residents of Southwestern Ontario only
6) Go to your nearest Urgent Care Centre or Emergency Room
